The Calgary Zoo’s grounds transform into a winter wonderland of more than two million lights each holiday season, running nightly from mid-November into early January.
About
ZOOLIGHTS turns the Calgary Zoo’s grounds into a winter wonderland of more than two million lights each holiday season. Visitors stroll themed displays, light tunnels and interactive installations, with extras like ice skating, axe throwing, fire pits, hot drinks and photos with Santa. Private Snow Globe dining experiences are offered on select nights, and a combo ticket covers zoo admission by day plus ZOOLIGHTS at night. It runs nightly 5 to 9 PM, last entry 8:30 PM, and was closed November 25 and December 25 in 2025-26.
It is the zoo’s annual holiday lights show, presented by Olympia Trust Company. The 2025-26 edition was its 29th year, which makes it one of Calgary’s longest-running Christmas traditions.
