ScreamFest takes over GMC Stadium at Stampede Park for 11 select nights each October. The 2026 edition runs October 9, 10, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 and 31, from 7pm to midnight. Seven haunted houses wait inside, including Clown Town, Bates Motel and the waiver-required Extreme Zombie House, the one haunt where actors are allowed to touch guests. October 22 is an adults-only night for guests 18 and over, and the event is recommended for ages 12 and up.

Between the houses there is a Midway of Mayhem with Halloween carnival games, axe throwing, coffin rides, simulator rides, the Slingshot and Area 51 monster truck racing. Tickets are sold through Showpass, with general admission from about $35.40 and combo or SpeedPass packages up to about $75. Capacity is limited each night, so buying at the door is not guaranteed.

The event celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025, which points to a first edition around 2006. It has grown into Calgary’s largest Halloween event and one of the biggest haunted attractions in Canada.
