Once Upon A Christmas is Heritage Park’s Christmas celebration, turning the Historical Village into an old-fashioned winter wonderland. The event includes horse-drawn wagon rides, roving carolers, visits with Santa, a Christmas market and kids-only market, festive crafts, a Lego village and holiday storytelling. Newer additions include the Heritage Holiday Train ride and a Christmas stage show at the Canmore Opera House. It runs 10 AM to 4 PM, and the Holiday Train is a separate ticket add-on that is cancelled at -20C.
It is Heritage Park’s long-running annual Christmas tradition; the exact first year is not published.
