The International Reggae Festival is Calgary’s annual celebration of reggae music and Caribbean culture, run by the Calgary Reggae Festival Society. Two days of live reggae from local, national, and international performers, plus food trucks, craft vendors, a beer stand, and a dance floor on St. Patrick’s Island.
About
The festival is all ages and family friendly, with gates opening at 4 PM Friday and 2 PM Saturday and shows running into the evening. Expect a full lineup of reggae acts, island food trucks, craft vendors, and a dance floor.
The Calgary Reggae Festival Society formed in 2003 to promote reggae music and Caribbean culture in Western Canada, and launched the festival in 2004. It ran annually for years, took a hiatus, returned with a Sunny Soul Jam event in 2024, and came back as a full festival in 2026.
