Inglewood Sunfest is a free one-day street fair that takes over 9th Avenue SE in Inglewood, Calgary’s oldest neighbourhood. More than 200 vendors line the closed street, alongside street performers, live music, circus acts, food trucks and a family-friendly beer garden.
About
More than 200 vendors set up along the closed street with artisan crafts, small businesses and community groups. There are street performers, live music, circus acts, food trucks, patios and a family-friendly beer garden. It runs rain or shine, and it is put on in part by the Inglewood business community.
One source notes the festival was revitalized to serve as a launch event for the Calgary Fringe Festival. We could not confirm a first year, so there is no founding story to tell here beyond that.
