Calgary’s edition gathers at Southcentre Mall with a timed 5 km run and a 1 km and 5 km walk. It is billed as Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led event in support of the breast cancer cause, with runs in more than 50 communities across the country.
The Run began in 1992 with a small group of people in Toronto. The Canadian Cancer Society organizes it with CIBC as title partner since 1997, and it has raised over $507 million since the start.
