Chasing Summer is a two-day outdoor electronic dance music festival held in early August at the Max Bell Centre Festival Grounds. It is billed as the largest outdoor EDM event in Western Canada.

The festival is presented by Live Nation and Blueprint, and it books big-name headliners across house, techno, dubstep and bass music, playing from the afternoon into the night. The 2026 lineup included FISHER, Subtronics, Armin van Buuren and Rezz. There is no on-site parking, so most people get there by transit or rideshare. It is strictly 18+, no exceptions.
Chasing Summer has been running for years, with editions going back at least to 2016. One listing called the 2026 edition its seventh anniversary, but the festival’s own materials do not pin down a first year, so we are not guessing at one here.
