The Calgary International Blues Festival is a week-long celebration of blues music each summer, built around four days and nights of mainstage concerts. It mixes international names with Canadian and local artists, and kids 12 and under get in free.
About
The mainstage runs four days and nights with international blues acts alongside Canadian and local artists. During the day there are workshops, an arts market, food trucks and a beer tent, and the nights wrap up with Twilight Blues dance parties. It is family friendly, with kids 12 and under admitted free.
The 2026 edition was billed as the 22nd annual, which puts the first one in 2005. That lines up with a 2010 article calling it six years old. For years the mainstage ran at Shaw Millennium Park; in 2026 it moved to The Confluence.
