Dozens of crews race dragon boats over two days on the Glenmore Reservoir, with cultural performances, food vendors and kids activities along the shore. The 2026 edition drew 68 teams. Race days ran 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
It is organized by the Calgary Dragon Boat Society, a volunteer-led non-profit established in 2010. The society says the festival has run for 34 years in Calgary, dating back to the early 1990s, which puts the first edition around 1993.
