The Bowness Stampede Breakfast and Parade is a free Stampede-week tradition in northwest Calgary, pairing a pancake breakfast with live music and a small-town parade down Bowness Road.
About
The free pancake breakfast runs from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Bowness Mall parking lot, with live music through the morning. The parade starts at 9:00 AM at the Shouldice/Hextall Bridge entrance into Bowness, travels down Bowness Road through Mainstreet Bowness, turns north on 77th Street and ends at 77th Street and 43rd Avenue NW. Parade float entry is free but registration is required, and entries must be family and community friendly.
The Bowness Lions Club was the primary organizer for most of the event’s history. The 2026 edition is the 35th annual, and from 2026 the event is organized by a committee of community members under the Bowness Ratepayers Scout and Guide Hall Association. It is entirely donation and sponsor funded.
