ARTember is a month-long September celebration of art, culture, and local business in Airdrie. Residents pick up a free ARTember Passport, collect stickers at participating galleries, cafes, and shops, and enter to win prizes.
About
The month is built around the passport: visit participating businesses, galleries, cafes, and artist installations across Airdrie, collect stickers, and get entered for prizes that include commissioned artwork and local gift certificates. It kicks off with the Airdrie ArtWalk, a free visual arts event where local artists show and sell original work.
ARTember goes back to at least 2011, when it was referenced as an ongoing annual event in artist blogs. It was created by the Airdrie Arts & Culture Council and relaunched in September 2026 in the month-long passport format, with the inaugural Airdrie ArtWalk kickoff on September 12, 2026.
