The Airdrie Festival of Lights is a month of nightly Christmas light displays in Nose Creek Regional Park, put on by volunteers. The park glows from 6 to 9 PM every night of December, with miniature train rides, bonfires, hot chocolate, Santa visits, an old-fashioned skating party and special theme nights like Emergency Services Night and Family Fun Night. The season closes with a family skate party on New Year’s Eve.

It began in 1996, run by the Airdrie Festival of Lights Society, a volunteer-run non-profit. It has grown into a month-long nightly display funded by donations and sponsors, with roughly 1,500 volunteer hours needed each year just for setup.
