Montgomery

Montgomery is a residential neighborhood located in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Shaganappi Trail to the east, 32nd Avenue and Market Mall to the north, and the Bow River to the south and west. The community of Bowness is located across the river to the west. Montgomery was established in 1911 and was originally named Shouldice Terrace. In 1943, it was renamed Montgomery after Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, a celebrated British military leader who played an important role in World War I and World War II.

Montgomery is home to the Montgomery Community Association, which offers a bike park designed for beginner mountain bikers.
