Nolan Hill was established in 2011 in Calgary's far northwest, near the Nolan Hill coulee. The community was planned as a newer suburban neighbourhood with a focus on natural ravine preservation and family-oriented amenities.

Today Nolan Hill is known for its scenic coulee setting, newer homes, and growing community infrastructure. The Nolan Hill Community Association serves residents of this Ward 2 community.
