About Rocky View Brewing Company
Rocky View Brewing Company is a family-owned microbrewery established in 2016, born from co-founder Lyle Thorsen’s homebrew hobby on an acreage in Bearspaw. Its taproom in historic downtown Cochrane opened in December 2021.
The brewery focuses on approachable, additive-free beers, celebrating co-founder Denean’s Cree heritage with Indigenous ingredients where possible. Flagships include a Blonde, Amber and IPA, plus German pilsner, Belgian wit, brown ale, and seasonal Adventure Series brews.
The taproom has a dog-friendly patio, live music, and game-day events.
